The Block Schedule at Aurora Central Catholic facilitates the opportunity for both additional courses of study and an increase in the credits for graduation. Consequently, graduates of this institution are expected to pursue additional academic courses, such as a second foreign language, additional fine arts courses, science courses, etc.

COURSE ENROLLMENT EXPECTATIONS

Colleges/Universities are constantly adjusting their enrollment expectations, and business leaders are concerned about the academic preparation of people entering the workforce. The faculty and the administration of Aurora Central Catholic expects all students to enroll in the maximum number of courses during each school year. Seniors who select a less demanding schedule can expect this reduced commitment to be reflected in the eighth-term transcript as well as letters of recommendation. Institutions of higher learning report a direct correlation between academic success at the university and the maintenance of a rigorous course of study during the senior year of high school.

Dual Enrollment

Aurora Central Catholic offers 10 Dual Credit classes in conjunction with Waubonsee Community College, offering these courses at a discounted rate. These courses are all taught on 十大博彩平台推荐's campus. In addition to the professors from Waubonsee Community College, we also have a full-time 十大博彩平台推荐 dual credit teacher providing our students with dual credit options that waive the tuition fee (book fees may apply depending on the course chosen).

Students also have the option to enroll in a class with Waubonsee Community College (in-person or online) that is not one of the 10 classes listed in our Curriculum Guide. Students interested in enrolling in a Waubonsee Course need to do the following:

Once you have selected the course you are interested in taking, contact your school counselor to obtain the "High School Student 澳门博彩攻略/Authorization Form"

Provide confirmation to your school counselor that you are registered for the course. Students successfully enrolled will be given a block during the school day where they can go to the ARC to work on their class.

AP Courses

Aurora Central Catholic offers 9 AP classes within all major subject areas. During the 2024-2025 academic year, our students took 133 AP tests with 79% of them scoring a 3 or higher (the global 3 or higher pass rate is only 60%).

Our commitment to providing an atmosphere that encourages college readiness and opportunities for students to earn college credit has earned Aurora Central Catholic a Bronze recognition on the 2025 AP School Honor Roll.

COMMENCEMENT ACTIVITIES

For a senior to participate in Graduation and the Commencement 博彩公司排行, the following criteria must be met:

All academic requirements must be completed with passing grades in all of the pre-requisite courses described above.
The students must complete a minimum of seven (7) courses during the senior year.
The student must be in good standing according to the discipline code of Aurora Central Catholic.
Complete a minimum of one hundred (100) hours of community service.
Participate in the (4) class level, or Kairos, retreats.
Fulfill all financial obligations.

A MINIMUM OF 28 CREDITS ARE REQUIRED FOR GRADUATION FROM AURORA CENTRAL CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL.
